Avril Millar, Interim General Manager

Originally a Civil Engineer, Avril was Head of Department teaching Oxbridge entrance physics for 5 years whilst her children were small. In 1986 she set up a Wealth Management business which became an award winning independent practice with half a billion pounds under advice, and which sold two years ago to a major City firm. 

In the last 10 years, Avril has also worked with a large number of senior executives in commercial firms as an executive coach and business adviser. She is, in addition to being a qualified engineer and teacher, also still an authorised person under the Financial Services Act, and is a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming, a Master Hypnotherapist and a Thought Field Practitioner.

Currently she is Managing Partner of Leadout Business which works with many businesses in the SME (small to medium sized business) space.

Avril is a highly experienced business adviser who works hands-on in selected business to increase their value for shareholders via business development, improved scalability and operational effectiveness.

She is also the mother of two children now aged 35 and 33 and is writing a book about social change and work which is due to be published later this year.

Avril is 59, and has just become a grandmother for the first time, she lives in West Kensington although she is a Glaswegian and very proud of her Scottishness!
