One-Stop Prostate Clinic

CREATE Health offers a one-stop prostrate clinic for men over 40 years who urinary symptoms such as frequency, poor streaming and sensations of incomplete voiding.

A regular Prostate Examination is important for all men over the age of 50. The thought of having a prostate examination may be intimidating but it can detect problems early that can lead to more serious conditions.

WHY CHOOSE A PROSTATE EXAMINATION?

There are 3 main diseases of the prostate.

• Benign Prostatic Enlargement (age-related non-cancerous enlargement of prostate)
• Prostatitis (Inflammation/infection of prostate)
• Cancer of prostate

We also offer diagnostic services for Erectile Dysfunction and Diseases of Testis.

ONE-STOP PROSTATE PROCEDURE

Our One-Stop Prostrate Clinic will be held at our Harley Street Clinic on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays (evening appointments are available).

You will need a letter of referral by your GP.

At the appointment, you will be asked to fill out an International Prostate Symptom Scoring (IPSS) form, assesses the severity of your prostate symptoms.

A doctor will provide a clinical assessment – history, examination and discussions of investigations proposed.

Investigations at the centre include:

•    Midstream Urine (MSU) (Dipstix)
•    Blood Urea & Electrolytes and Creatinine (To assess the kidney function)
•    PSA Estimation Flow Test
•    Ultrasound of the bladder

Discussion of the findings and advice will be given.
