Dr Gurpreet Singh Kalra is an experienced senior Fertility consultant with many years of experience as a consultant in the NHS and in the private sector. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in 2002 at Oslo University Hospital, Norway, and has since been accredited as specialist in Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Upon completion of his training, he undertook a Masters (MSc) in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Bristol where he achieved a pass with merits in 2008. He also received an award for the best research from the same university for his paper “The role of Anti-Mullerian hormone as a test of ovarian reserve and response in IVF."
Dr Kalra has fellowships in Reproductive Medicine from Oslo University Hospital, Norway and St Michael’s hospital Bristol, UK. He is experienced in fertility ultrasound scanning, having been certified as a trainer by the British Fertility Society. He is also very experienced in minimal access fertility surgery (laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery).
Dr Kalra has publications in several peer reviewed journals, and has given national and international presentations. He is multilingual with fluency in English, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish languages.

As well as working at CREATE Fertility, he is currently an NHS Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at the ABM University Health Board in Swansea. In his spare time Dr Kalra enjoys spending time with family, reading, going for walks, cycling and travelling.
